Dogs Barking In The Distance

There is this micro-trope of „dogs barking in the distance” and there are probably more novels which contain it than there are which don’t. It is neat, it adds detail to the atmosphere with a minimum amount of words. But once you become aware of it, you see it everywhere. It became quite a cliché, but only because it really works. And I am sure I have used it myself in an article or two. Anyway, once I have seen it coming up in subtitles of films and tv shows, I decided to make a little series. So this is a first glimpse into an ongoing project.
